INTRODUCTION

The opportunity to prepare students to teach family and consumer sciences is an honor and a privilege for me professionally. As a faculty member at Utah State University, it has been my goal to inspire and challenge students to think critically, problem solve, and work effectively in a team. As an educator, I consider myself a reflective practitioner. I continually reflect on my teaching to improve the content presented to students, methods used for teaching, and strategies for assessing student mastery of the content. The success of each student is important to me. I strive to connect with students to create a safe and successful learning environment.
